Waste Management and Sustainable Packaging

At Inka Gold Coffee, we take waste management very seriously in all our operations. We recognize the importance of reducing, reusing, and recycling materials to minimize our impact on the environment and promote sustainability in our supply chain.

Waste Sorting and Composting Programs
As mentioned earlier, we have waste sorting programs at our facilities and in collaboration with our partners. We strive to separate and classify waste properly, including organic waste that can be composted to create natural fertilizers that nourish our coffee plantations.

Sustainable Packaging and Biodegradable Material
To reduce waste generation in packaging processes, we encourage the use of biodegradable materials and the reuse of containers. We use biodegradable packaging materials that can have a second life, such as storing other foods or products. Additionally, our coffee packaging is designed to be reused by our customers, extending its lifespan and reducing the need for new packaging.

Recyclable and Reusable Packaging
In our shipments, we prefer to use recyclable cardboard boxes that can be reused or recycled by our customers. We encourage our customers to recycle cardboard boxes once they have served their initial purpose, or to reuse them for their own shipments or storage. We believe in closing the material lifecycle and maximizing its use at each stage.
